So, here is a new picture of our family. In case you didn't know, we have a young man from Mexico living with us this school year. His name is Andres. He is an awesome addition to our family. He seems to fit right in. The kids absolutely love him. He is just a great guy. He plays soccer for Georgia Christian. I hear he's pretty amazing at soccer. We'll definitely be at a few soccer games this year!

Anyway, the kids started school last Friday. They are now in 1st and 2nd grade. My children are growing up way too fast for me. They are both doing well so far. I was a little worried about Samantha in Miss Carpenter's class. But it seems to be going well so far.

What else has gone on since I last posted...well, I won $25 at work! We had to do a survey for a University and I was one of the 3 winners chosen...pretty cool right? I was super pumped about that. Also, we got to go and visit my family again for my nephew Aidan's 4th birthday. I love my nephews so much! I wish I could see them every day. That's pretty much it from last time...oh wait, Mike had a birthday. He is now 32. He's taking this one pretty well. For his birthday, we went out with 4 of our friends...Chris, Melissa, Jennifer, and Drew. It was great! That's pretty much it! I'll update again soon...

We have an amazing group of ladies in our congregation at Jasper. Sunday, one of the most awesome ladies, Mrs. Emma King, moved to Florida to be with her daughter. We had a going away party for her last Wednesday, July 7. Here is a collage of some of the most loving and devoted Christian's you will ever meet! I absolutely love each and every one of these people! We will miss Mrs. King so very much. She and Mike were always going at each other. They picked on each other constantly, like they were family. She was always trying out new recipes for us at our fellowship meals. They all were so good...and I'm picky! We know that she will be back to visit us at every opportunity, but she is definitely leaving a hole here!

For the 4th of July, we hung out with our friends Derrick and Kristi and their family. The kids had a great time playing with the fireworks. I didn't really do much with the fireworks...well, I did no fireworks actually. I stayed inside with Kristi's sister Brigitte watching the Jimmy Kimmel special on "Eclipse", which was awesome by the way! I think Mike and the kids had a great time playing with the fireworks, I know I did watching Edward Cullen...love him.

Mike, the kids, and I went to Florida to stay with my sister on July 2. We had an awesome time with the family, as you can see from the collage. The kids absolutely loved it!! We played the WII, went swimming, went fourwheeling, and ate some awesome pizza before crashing for the night. Then on Saturday, we went to my momma's house to play with momma, daddy, and Trey. Such a great weekend! I love my family!

Here are some pictures from Christian's second baseball game. He is learning so much. He is playing coach pitch this year. The coach is really taking the time to teach him the basics. He is doing very well so far. Samantha starts t-ball on Monday. I'll post more pics when I get them!

Kids Playing~~Weekend Fun!
Posted by Picasa
Well, this has been a busy week! I think we had something to do every single night! Christian and Samantha just started their baseball/t-ball practices. It is Christian's first year playing coach pitch. He is doing very good! I think baseball will be his sport. Samantha is playing t-ball. I haven't had a chance to watch her practice yet, but she is just naturally athletic. I'm sure she'll do great! Mike and the kids are on Spring Break next week. Mike is taking Christian to a Braves game one day. Well, anyway, that was our week!

Senior Trip pictures 2009. We had such an awesome time!
Posted by Picasa
Wow, I know. It's been like a whole year! There have been lots of changes since I was last on here. I'll start where I left off with you guys. The Senior Trip last March-April. It was AWESOME! I absolutely loved everything about Los Angeles/Hollywood. It helped that I had an amazing group of kids to share it with! My seniors graduated in May. I also decided I didn't want to teach anymore, so I began looking for a job in June. I applied with TeamTemps in Valdosta. The next day, I had a job with Smith Drug Company. I began with them as a temp receptionist. Then, a month later I was hired on as a Cycle Counter. I did that for several months. In February of this year, the week of my birthday, I was offered the position of Compliance Coordinator. I, of course, said yes!! I absolutely LOVE the job and the wonderful people I work with. Apparently, God had a plan for me and it is working out beautifully! I turned 30 this year. I had an awesome birthday party. Me, Melissa Bundrick, Ms. Vicky, and Lori Alley went to Olive Garden in Gainesville, FL. (I LOVE Olive Garden.) We then went to my friend Dee King's house to sing some karaoke! Ms. Dee and her two daughters, Kristi and Brigitte, set up the karaoke stage for my birthday. It was so beautiful and thoughtful of them!! Ms. Donna also came to sing with us. It was so much fun! I wanted to do something I had never done before, so we sang karaoke. I was terrible, but I wouldn't give the mic up for anything! I had a chance to sing with all of my friends. It was definitely a day I will never forget! Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making my day unbelievable!! Christian turned 7 in January. He had his first sleepover birthday party. He is such a big boy now. He is so stinkin smart it's crazy!! He has made the Principal's Honor Roll all year. He is just such a wonderful kid!! Samantha will be 6 in May. She will be graduating Kindergarten then as well. She is beautiful! She is probably the sneakiest kid ever, but she is probably also the sweetest! I love my family so much! Mike has decided to start working on his Master's again. He is in his first semester. It's been a little difficult. I miss him so much when he has to go to Montgomery, but it's really important to him. He has also been training for MMA fighting. He has been at it for several months now. I'm kind of scared of when he actually begins fighting. He has done one grappling tournament and I think he did ok at it. I don't know if I can actually go and witness any of this, but we'll see! That's pretty much been our year so far! I will try my hardest to get back on here real soon to get some more updates going!!
