Going to Los Angeles!

I have the privilege this year of taking my lovely senior class on their senior trip. The wonderful children decided we should go to Los Angeles! I am so very excited! I've never been anywhere close to that side of the country! Mike and I both get to go and be chaperones for the trip. We leave on Monday. We will be flying out of Jacksonville early Tuesday morning. We get to eat at fancy L.A. restaurants and explore all of the wonderful things you hear about in the movies. I will be sure to post lots of pictures when we get back. For now, I have to prepare everything for the trip and try not to stress myself out too much. I'll write again when I return from L.A.!!

It's been a while!

It has been a crazy long time since I have posted. Honestly, I lost the web address. I finally found it today. Nice, huh? Well anyway, since I last posted, a lot has happened. In September of 2008, I went to the doctor because my heart was beating funny. It has done it for a while, but my "mothers" at work talked me into going. I went in to my normal doctor. They did an EKG and stuck me on a 24 hour halter monitor. Turns out my heart was beating super crazy even when I didn't know it. They did an echocardiogram, everything was normal, no valve issues. They still decided to send me to a cardiologist, after they put me on heart medicine. I went in to the cardiologist. He acted like it was no big deal. He said the weird heartbeats aren't uncommon. So now I am like an old lady on heart medicine and I'm not even 30! So I was okay with how those things were. Next up, Mike jacked up his knee playing basketball. We had to have an MRI for him. Turns out nothing is wrong. Next, I got strep throat, which I have never in my life had, even with 2 kids that had it and a husband that had it. Then, I got pneumonia. I had to get a chest x-ray and CAT scan. On the CAT scan they noticed a nodule in my left lung that had nothing to do with the pneumonia. They decided they wanted to biopsy the nodule in my lung. I was in the hospital waiting to get it done, then the radiologist who looked at my new CAT scan decided he didn't want to do the biopsy. So we didn't have to do it. I was super pumped about that! I didn't really want a needle being poked through my lung. I have to go back and get another CAT scan in April to make sure the nodule isn't growing. They are pretty confident that it is nothing. I haven't been sick in about 2 months. My heart is still beating funny, so I am ready to just quit taking this crazy medicine. Enough about me, my son is now 6!! Unbelievable right? He is a genius. He is doing so well in Kindgergarten. He graduates from Kindergarten on May 15. I can't believe it. He is an amazing child. He is doing Lads to Leaders this year. Samantha is still 4. She will turn 5 in May. She is my angel. She is the sneakiest child I have ever met in my life! Life is definitely more interesting with her in it! Mike is still Mike. He is the most amazing man I have ever known. He amazes me every time he gets up in the pulpit to speak. He is awesome. Anyway, this is us! Things are great. The Lord has blessed us.
